Salisbury Cathedral: Reflections

I have waited some time to visit Salisbury Cathedral and was not disappointed. The above photo is of reflections in the font used for baptisms.

The Cathedral is also home to one of the four remaining originals of the Magna Carta sealed by King John in 1215. An inspiring visit!

  1. What a magnificent cathedral ... well worth the wait to see it. I've just been reading your preceding posts Rae and was thrilled to see you outside "Ottolenghi" I love their food and have the first cook-book .... when staying in Kent at the end of last year my niece who lives in London, cooked us some delish Ottolenghi meals ... fabulous food with rosé water and maple syrup ... Just gorgeous!

  2. Neat idea to present the stained glass windows reflected in the font. The atmosphere in ancient hallows such as these always impresses me. It's almost like I can feel the weight of the expanse of air above and dare not speak above a whisper for fear of offending some a hidden priest, king or worshiper present or past.
