Welcome to London

In London for a short stopover and recovery from jet lag before flying to St Petersburg. Wandering down a lane in Kensington we found this little welcome to London in one of the doorways.

New Life

With warmer spring weather and rain, the ferns on our Nannup farm are bursting with new life.

Water Reeds

It's good to see the dams at Red Gully Wines looking so full this year. This photo was taken at one of the five dams that support our water needs during the long hot, dry Western Australian summers.

Early Morning in the Vineyard

Yesterday the weather was not so kind so to wake up to sun shining through the clouds for at least some of the morning was a delightful start to the day.

Down With The Vines

It has been a while since I have been to our family vineyard, Red Gully Wines at Nannup so it's good to be here for the weekend. Despite the rainy weather there has been time enough between rain showers to get out and about.

Visiting the Wetlands 11

Usually I can walk through here. It is good to see the end of winter rains are leaving a mark on these wetlands.

Winter's Remnant

One of the few remaining fallen leaves by the water's edge at Hyde Park. Spring can't be that far away!

Hyde Park

It has been a while since I have visited Hyde Park and today did not disappoint.

Whilst recent works to beautify the park have taken away some elements of the shoreline I used to enjoy photographing, work to the island areas in this wetland meant the view was even more mysterious than previously experienced.

A great place not far from the CBD to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Impression

No matter how many times I visit the National Gallery of Victoria, I love to take a pic through the waterfall that runs over the glass wall at the entrance.

Reminiscing About Bathurst

Going through my Bathurst photos today: memories of fabulous people, great art and fun times - apart from getting to the studios in the early morning chill that is.

Early Morning

In between the much needed rain there have been some wonderful moments to capture.

Sentinels

This section of the Bathurst cemetry was very different. Most of the graves in this area are for sisters from the Sisters of Mercy.  The word that came to mind was 'sentinels', hence the post title.

Christmas in July at our home on Saturday night.
Thank you for the great music Alan and thank you Ruth for the photo.
