Still Time to Play Ball

Elvis is one ball crazy dog and manages to find balls almost any and everywhere. Whilst pruning every now and again my rhythm is interrupted by stepping on a ball that Elvis had dropped at my feet.

The trick then is to throw it far enough to keep him occupied at least for a minute or two so I can get on with the work. And it is not exactly easy work. As you can see the vineyard is planted on a step slope making not only the pruning but walking up and down the rows of vines a good workout.

  2. It won't be long before these vines will be covered in lush green growth and thus the commencement of another season. It looks like hard work Rae!

  3. What a great looking dog. Easy to spot in the bush.

  4. The vines look fantastic, I reckon when folk are sitting sipping their vino, they don't even think about the hard work involved. I bet you've burned a fair few calories over this period Rae.
