Evening Calm

After the rain and dark evening skies of the last few days, yesterday's sunset was a delight. The peaceful scene at Herdsman Lake Regional Park was worthwhile stopping for on the way home.

The park is about 6 kms from Perth and like nearby Lake Monger is a wonderful spot for walking, jogging and bike riding.

  1. Your photographs are just getting better and better. Nice layering here complete with foreground, middle and background. It gives the image depth and dimension. Your choice of width to height ratio extends this landscape perfectly. Colour, clarity and subject spot on. Take a bow Rae.

  3. Many thanks for your comments on my progress. I really value your feedback and support. I have certainly enjoyed learning the intricacies of the new camera I bought at the end of last year and have tried to be out and about more this year as well. As you know it's all part of a learning process but taking photos - which I love to do - just about every day and the discipline of having an image to post has certainly helped. There is still so much to learn though but I guess that is all part of the journey. Thanks again for your feedback. Best wishes, Rae

  4. Stunning image Rae, the water was so calm that the cloud reflections are perfect. Definitely worth stopping for.
