Approaching Storm

It has been rainy and cold this afternoon with intermittent thunderstorms and some hail.

While driving home along the coastal highway I could see glimpses of the storm clouds gathering and interested in a closer look turned off the highway and into the car park overlooking the ocean at Floreat Beach.

These seagulls were playing in the wind but for me the best spot was to stay in the car - yes I know a bit of a sook - and certainly a better option than getting out to face the winds laced with lightly falling rain.

Fortunately I was able to get home before the full force of the storm reached our shores.

  1. Oh, the sea doesn't look too inviting today! It nonetheless has a beauty all its own.

  6. As the clouds roll in and the last solitary seagull flies by I turn my colar to the wind and shudder.
