Weathered

Lots of character in this old wall behind Gino's popular cafe in Fremantle.

This is my contribution to Monday Mural. Other images can be seen here

  1. Was there a painting on the wall before the decay, or does it just look that way? Very interesting colors if not...

  3. The colours are quite delicate for a street mural ..... Maybe weathering and deterioration has enhanced it .

  4. While one would typically not be impressed by a wall cracking up and falling apart, here the colors and the decay and the patterns make for a pleasing abstract wall mural.

  5. The pastel colours in this image are fabulous Rae, I think this could easily inspire a painting oui!

  7. Thanks for comment on my blogs, Rae.
It's a very abstract like but also looks like organic as it may occur in time.

  8. I like the watery effect of the painting. It even took me a second to realize it wasn't all part of the mural!

  9. Welcome to Monday Mural. What an interesting find. The "frame" clearly was adorned before decay set in. Who knows about the central image. But the human mind is always trying to make meaning out of what it sees. What may be just random splotches, looks like a faded portrait to me. There even appears to be a signature. This makes me think of ancient cities that have patinas built over thousands of years. Under its countless layers, astonishing things can be found. So it seems to be here. Thank you for this contribution to Monday Mural.
