Picking this Weekend

It will be on for young and old this weekend as we head off to our Nannup vineyard for picking. It's a fun time but hard work. As always, the best part of the day is getting together over wine and food to celebrate the harvest and a job well done.

We had expected the grapes to be ready, as usually happens, in a couple of weeks. But testing of the sugar levels in the vineyard has shown the grapes are well a truly ready for winemaking. Here's hoping the hot weather over the past few days has not ruined our crop of shiraz or cabernet sauvignon grapes.
