North Mole, Fremantle

Back to Perth after a restful break in Nannup I decided to take a closer look at some of the Fremantle Ports area. Having seen many paintings of lighthouses by New England artists during my recent visit I was especially interested in the lighthouse at the entrance to Fremantle Port. So here it is - with a Christmas Tree decorating the balcony. The area around the lighthouse has changed considerably but driving out along North Mole Drive to see boats leave and come into port and to try for the odd fish or two remain popular pastimes.

  1. I have not wandered out along the breakwaters or through Fremantle for maybe 15 years now, Rae. I shall enjoy your little meander.

  4. It's a great lighthouse Rae and especially as it has a twin green one on the South Mole. That's interesting that the door is open, would have loved to peek inside. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Rae, take care and stay safe.

  7. Hi. The North Mole Driver was closed. Why was it? Does it mean that its only open for fishermen and not public?
