Calm After the Storm

Yesterday was rain, lightning and thunderstorms. Our dog Elvis was most uncomfortable and spent much of the day seeking a safe place under a bench. Severe hail storms were also predicted, but fortunately these did not eventuate as least where I was during the day. Not exactly a day to venture out unless you really needed to leave the comfort of your home. But by day's end the rain and storms had cleared and the beachfront was peaceful once again. What a day of contrasts!

  1. This is very striking! I love how the sun is peeking out from under the clouds, how you framed it in the sculpture and also how you lined up the horizon with the elements of the sculpture. The colors are beautiful too. It is a good thing that you ventured out when you did!

  6. If not for those clouds prowling above, one would never have guessed. Ditto what most others have said.
