Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir

It felt like "culture shock" having emerged from the quiet countryside of New England to New York City. So it was time to seek solace in the more quiet and gentle surroundings of Central Park and enjoy a stroll to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

One taxi driver described Central Park to me as the "lungs of New York" bringing fresh air to this busy city. The track that surrounds the reservoir is popular with runners and walkers who thankfully all move in the same direction. As I continued my wandering along the track the city beyond felt like another world away. It was a wonderful place to be.

  1. A great oasis of calm. City in the distance, just as a backdrop. Nice shot with a fresh garnish. / Peter

  2. The leading line of the lake and the blue color make this image wonderful to see. You have a good eye for such compositions. I imagine the walk must have been delightful!
