Fremantle Arts Centre

Tuesday nights is Life Drawing with artist Ian de Souza in Fremantle. Coming home this evening I drove past the Fremantle Arts Centre. The Centre was built in 1864 and has an interesting and colourful past: Convict Establishment Fremantle Lunatic Asylum and Invalid Depot, a Poor House known as the Women’s Home and Fremantle Technical School. Today it's a fascinating place to visit to see artworks, exhibitions or a courtyard concert in a beautifully restored heritage setting. One of my favourite Freo places.

  1. I would imagine it would be quite an eerie place at night.

  2. I am glad it is transformed into such a pleasant place to visit. I like your moody night depiction of this castle-like building.
