Welcome Walls

Over the weekend, the weather was wonderfully mild and I spent time looking around Fremantle, ending up at the Welcome Walls at the Western Australian Maritime Museum at Victoria Quay. 400 panels make up the Welcome Walls that pay tribute to the contributions made to the state by migrants who arrived by sea.

  2. What a fabulously composed shot Rae, love the ship in the background, the guy walking just above the wall line and the sky is so impressive. Loved your 'business man snorkeling from yesterday's post, made me laugh, first thought was he's 'planking', excellent!

  3. Thanks Madge. Like the Planking idea Grace. Great sense of humor by the artist on the 'Bottom of the Harbour' installation!

  5. Lovely shapes in that shot Rae which softens the whole architectural subject. Well done for getting the ship in the shot too... how long did you have to wait for that?!
