Still Waters

  1. So good were the reflections Rae, that it took me a moment to figure out what I was looking at! Fantastic shot.

  2. I agree about the quality of the shot, but am still trying to work out what I am seeing.

I can see the reflection, and the line of reflection. But the roof on the RHS is not reflected that I can see. And yet the sapling that it intersects IS reflected but below the point of intersection. Sooo ...

The water is AT LEAST as high as the line of reflection ... nope ... still defeats my poor old brain. How can the roof be BEHIND the sapling ...

  4. I thought at first it was a painting - a little touch of Withers or McCubbin - I like this photo a lot Rae - well captured!

  6. Hi Everyone, thanks for yor feedback. It did remind me of a painting also Dianne; would be great in oils. Don't know that I have the answer to your puzzle Julie, but I can say that just "happened" to see the possibility of this shot by looking through the camera and being in a position where I could miss the surrounding bushes. Bit of luck there I think. Rae
