Ode to Winter

Driving through the expanse of these beautiful yet dry parklands, I could see the sun's rays dancing through the trees, fingering the morning mist and breathing life into the day.

Winter chill was in the air as the encroaching golden tenacles of sunlight began to stretch across the now barren Perry Lakes, reach into the shadows and slowly begin to warm the day. Occasionally, someone would pass by walking their dog or on their early morning run. It was a magical start to a Winter's morning.

  1. The first thing that I thought of when I saw this was, "The Burning Bush". Pretty back lighting!

  2. You have captured the ligh and the mist in the grass just splendidly, Rae. The shape of that tree is a delight. Have you come across Steffe's tree? Steffe from Haninge? YOu could follow this Perry Lakes tree in a similar manner.

  7. Hi Everyone, thank you for your comments. While I took many photos that morning, this was the last one and the one I liked the most. It was something special about the tree so Rachel, I appreciate your reaction. Julie I will go back and keep the story of this tree alive. I enjoy landscape Grace, but still so much to learn! Neverlesless, as you say Alan, a keeper. Craig and Cara, appreciate your feedback also.
