Reflections

The Reflection Pool was built to enhance the beauty and surrounds of Winthrop Hall at the University of Western Australia. The Pool was completed in 1932 largely due to the efforts of students who volunteered to provide the labour if the University provided the materials.

  1. Wow, great composition. Hard to work out where the real building ends and the reflection begins at first!

  2. I do like symmetry and this photo has plenty of it. Impressive.

  3. Alan, thx. I find my eyes strained a bit when first trying to work this shot out.
    Jim, thx
Joe, thx. It was a bit of a challenge as this area has been photgraphed many times and I wanted to see if I could come up with something that was not completely obvious.

  4. My ex-husband - being a graduate of UWA - was besotted with this hall. We used to visit it nearly every time we journeyed 'home'.

  5. I can understand why you would visit here if returning. Used to do the same when also living away and returning for a short visit.
