  3. Jim, you are spot on. The area is changing though and whilst retaining it's colour, is also developing some very interesting architecture, street art and a vibrancy that makes Northbridge an interesting place to wander through.

    Dianne, I was interested to find the cobbled stone lane here, although I am not sure how long these stones have paved the lane way.

  6. My thoughts are that the cobblestones are 'decorating'. See those posts there designed to stop vehicles from continually smashing into the walls. There are many of those in Paris and they are a variety of styles. They are called 'chasse-roue'. I only found this out from Eric Tenin earlier this week.
