Morning View of Perth

I sometimes go walking in the early morning through this idyllic and peaceful bushland. The view from this part of Bold Park gives a very different perspective of Perth. Crisp morning air, shimmering dew drops, the occassional person walking their dog and birds begining to stir provides a wonderful backdrop to the start of any day. One of my favourite places in the city.

  1. Oh, I see ... at the back of City Beach & Swanbourne ... I had it in my head that there was some sort of either army camp or rifle range back in there somewhere.

This certainly gives a glorious early morning shot back towards the city, reminiscent of The Emerald City in Wizard of Oz ...

  3. Julie, you are pretty close. I took this photo from near the water tower just off Kalinda Drive in City Beach. This is also near City Beach High School. The light here at the moment is beautiful and mellow giving this Emerald City, far away look.

Dianne, a great time with the light here. I'm enjoying it all at the moment just in case "one day" it remembers how to rain here for longer than just a few showers.

    Jim, thx.

  6. What a gorgeous photo Rae, Perth looks like a fantasy city in the far distance. You are so right about the light here at the moment, and the cloud formations, so perfect for photos.

Pierre, yes there is that dreamstate feel to this. No doubt that's why I enjoyed so much taking this photo.
