Elsehul, South Georgia

Our final landing on South Georgia and the opportunity to see macaroni penguins nesting on the steep slopes as well as gentoo and king penguins and seals.

Sealers were at Elsehul from 1790 to 1820. These trypots and the outline of two huts are all that remain from these 30 years when fur seal skins were taken wiping out almost all of the island's fur and elephant seals.
